Carl Eskridge works in the Office of Public Counsel where he helps Nebraska families fight government bureaucracy and gain access to vital resources. He holds a B.A. in Business Administration from Saint Andrews Presbyterian College and a J.D. from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
Since 2011, Carl has represented District 4 on the Lincoln City Council. As a councilman, Carl has been dedicated to prioritizing business, infrastructure, and safety for Lincoln families. He has taking on several leadership roles, and has worked with elected officials and business leaders to find creative solutions to the most important issues facing Lincoln, having served as Chair and Vice Chair of the City Council, Vice Chair of the Lincoln Airport Development Board, and as a member of the the Lincoln Partnership for Economic Development.
Prior to earning his law degree from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, Carl served congregations in Lincoln for 14 years as a minister. He brings 30 years of professional experience and community involvement to the City Council, as a past president of the Lincoln Arts Council, and as a member of the Lincoln Interfaith Council and the Citizens’ Police Advisory Council.
Carl and his wife, Janet, raised their children, Hannah and Rachel, in Lincoln because of its outstanding schools and strong neighborhoods. They have four grandchildren.
